Mobility aids,You Tube awards and Dr Phil
Hey everybody! I am sorry I have not been as reliable with my posting recently, my health was kicking up a fuss and I needed to rest I hope you understand? I was in a flare and I am recovering now but my goodness the house is a mess! You can tell I have not been able to keep up with cleaning and my goodness is it annoying! On top of that this last week has had my attention on strange things like mobility aids,You Tube awards and Dr Phil! So I realised that recently on Instagram, as I scroll my feed, I have been noticing people announcing that they…
Birthday, bad news and a flare
Hey everybody! So I gave myself last Friday off because Saturday was my birthday and as I had gone out for dinner Thursday I needed to rest. I am sure my fellow Spoonies understand and for that I am thankful! This week is starting off with payback for my birthday, bad news and a flare and I am not happy about it! My birthday was pretty chill, I visited my mother and we had some yummy food and cake and watched Bohemian Rhapsody with friends. It was a fun evening and I was thankful Amazon Prime already have it to rent because going to the cinema can be difficult for…
Trying to still shine
Hey everybody! Wow first of all I am really sorry that my posts have been a little hit or miss recently. My pain, depression and acne have all flared together like a tag team and though I am trying to still shine I have needed to step back a little. It can be so easy to get sucked into numbers of people reading your blog and who is following on Instagram and how many are subscribed on You Tube! But I do have to remind myself that this is not a job, I share on here because I want to keep trying to still shine my light out into the…
Flaring But Fighting
Hey everybody! If you read my last couple of blog posts, you will know that the lovely people at the DWP decided to take my PIP benefit from me! The stress of losing my PIP benefit has really hit me flaring my pain, fatigue and depression so I’m flaring but fighting! I have been really suffering with pain especially in my shoulders and arms, and that horrible dull ache in the back of my neck is back! That lovely pain is what triggers a migraine after a while so I am really hoping meditating more and trying to keep moving will help. I feel a little like a zombie at…
Adventures, Hobbies and Flare Ups
Hey everybody! Wow this week has been very out of the ordinary, and I kind of feel like a fish out of water, or like the ground isn’t quite right beneath me. Its just been adventures, hobbies and flare ups and not enough rest and quiet for me to cope! On Tuesday my husband had to go to a meeting in London, and while he was looking up how to get there he realised he would be passing one of my best friends houses on the way. Louise is one of my oldest and best friends and she lives in the outskirts of London, because of this and we both…
Let’s talk about PIP
Hey everybody! Wow this weekend has been full of tears, panic attacks, and worry…so lets talk about PIP…. If you have been reading my blog for a while you will know that recently I was called for reassessment for both of my disability benefits. I was awarded my ESA after going for reassessment and met all the requirements because I am legitimately disabled and have been for some years. However, on Saturday I got a letter stating that they were stopping my PIP benefit completely this month. Now I want to explain that the person who came to our house to assess me was not the person who made the…
Frustration with Fatigue
Hey everybody! So like I mentioned earlier this week, my fatigue has kicked things up a notch and I am really hoping this is just a flare to do with the anaemia I have been put on iron tablets for. This week has been full of frustration with fatigue stopping me doing most things I want to do and when I push through it pushes back! I have started trying to do my physiotherapy exercises every other day, she told me to do them like that so they didn’t make me too tired. Then on the day I do not do that I thought I could do a little cleaning…which…
Fighting fatigue and gaining confidence
Hey everybody! First of all I am very sorry I did not have a blog post out to you on Friday last week I think things caught up with me. I have been fighting fatigue and gaining confidence two things that shouldn’t go together but this week strangely do! As you know I had a bit of a stressful week with going to two disability benefits reassessments in one week! I really feel as if dealing with that has increased my fatigue to a point where I wake up a lot later in the morning than usual, and spend most of the morning, laying in bed looking more zombie than…
Making Up For The Financial Impact Of A Long-Term Injury
Injuries happen, and sometimes they result in a lot more than simply having to take it easy for a few days. Show some flexibility in your work Let’s start with the assumption that a long-term injury leaves you unable to do the work you were previously doing. Whether this is because your job is…
